FLASH SALE!!! Save $15 off the regular price of the 8-week Beginning Bellydance Session!

Hello!

Inaya here.  I’ve been looking back on the last year and I can’t help but feel both overwhelmed by and grateful for the support of our students, friends, and family.  As always, I continue to meet so many lovely people and new friends through this dance.  I think this is a trend worth continuing, so one of my goals for the new year is to continue to expand our little studio and welcome as many new students and friends as possible.

In an effort to make my goal a reality, and to help anyone who might have set goals, like getting more exercise, trying something new, or learning to dance, for the new year, we are offering a limited time discount on our 8-Week Beginning Belly Dance Class.  Sign up online or contact us by 1/4 to get your session for the discounted price of $70.  That’s a $15 savings off our regular session fee of $85.  If you’re interested, just head on over to the registration page, the discount is already applied!

I’m getting impatient to get back to dancing, so I hope we’ll see you in classes next year!

Please don’t hesitate to contact us via email or Facebook with any questions you have!

Peace and Shimmies!

Inaya here just bringing you an update on all the big things that Tenth Muse Dance has coming up over the next few months.

First up, is Nuri’s “Feeling Awkward, But Determined?” workshop. This workshop runs this Saturday 2/28 and is sure to be a great time. This workshop is geared to the first time performer looking for tips (and is a perfect workshop to take if you’re thinking about performing in our April 11th show. *I’m looking at you Intermediate (Level 2) Students*. She’ll cover all those things the veterans wish they’d known going into their first solo performance. You may even get to see an awkward video of her first performance. The workshop runs from 1 PM to 2:30 at Band of Brother’s Martial Arts Studio – 1712 Hamilton Rd. More information is available on Tenth Muse’s Facebook page – https://www.facebook.com/events/1596400763916491/?ref=3&ref_newsfeed_story_type=regular. Cost is $20.

Next up, our next session of classes start March 4th and run through April 9th. This session will focus on Tribal Fusion Technique and Styling and will culminate in our Spring Show “Into the Light” on Saturday April 11th. All students particpating in this session (with 80% or better attendance) have the opportunity to perform in the show and have free admission to the rest of the show. Beginner (Level 1) will run Wednesdays and Thursdays (pick the night that works for you) from 6:30 – 7:45. Intermediate (Level 2) will run Thursdays only from 8:00 – 9:00. Tribal Fusion is Inaya Noire’s favorite style of belly dance and she’s looking forward to this next session.

Finally, we are pleased to announce our Spring 2015 Show – “Into the Light” on Saturday April 11th. We are super excited to bring in acts from all around Central Illinois, and to have students from Tenth Muse and members of Persephone’s Circle perform in what is sure to be an exciting show. Tenth Muse in 2015

Hello Dancers!

Inaya here!  I just wanted to take a few minutes to update you on everything going on with Tenth Muse Dance in 2015.  We’ve got a lot of great things coming up and we’re very excited.

First of all, classes!  We are so pleased to be continuing the second beginners class added last session, and are looking forward to working with all of you on veil!  We are also incredibly excited to be adding an Intermediate class for the first time since we opened our doors a year ago!  This class is for students who have taken the Level 1 classes for a while now and are reaching a plateau.  This class is designed to take your dancing to the next level, and I promise it will definitely provide a challenge.  This winter 2015 session, with assistance from Ashira will be focusing on veil, where you’ll learn a choreography that you are eligible to perform in our Spring show, and you’re also eligible for a 3 minute solo slot.

Ooohh, don’t forget the fabulous “A Workshop to Dye For” event coming up.  Moirne will be hosting and providing instructions on how to dye your own veils.  Please see the Workshop tab on this page or FB for more information on this. (By the way, Nuri will be announcing another workshop here shortly, so stay tuned!)  The cost of the workshop includes all materials and instruction.  It’d be great to dye a veil to use for the Spring show.

Speaking of Spring shows, we are pleased to announce that we will be putting on our “Into the Light” show again this year on April 11, 2015.  All students will be eligible to perform if they meet the attendance requirements for class.

Hope you’re all staying safe and warm this winter season.  Keep practicing that shimmy, it’ll help keep you warm!

Love and Shimmies!

“All About That Bass” Workshop

Come “shake it, shake it” like you’re supposed to do. Inaya Noire will be teaching and all-levels choreography workshop to Meghan Trainor’s “All About That Bass.” This workshop will teach you everything you need to know from start to finish, so come on out and help Inaya and Tenth Muse bring that “booty back.”

Bring a friend or two and come celebrate your beauty inside and out. You’ll get your dance on and get a great workout and a full choreo out of this two and a half hour workshop.

Bring a yoga mat for warm-up, a hip scarf, and some water because you will definitely sweat. Yoga pants or something similar, and a form fitting shirt is the suggested attire for this workshop. If you prefer not to dance in bare feet, please bring dance shoes.

Stay tuned for more details on date and location.

Looking forward to dancing with you!!
